Arrifana Beach
The beach rises in a beautiful shell-shaped cove, sheltered from the northern cold, projecting from the north and leading to a small fishing village. The beach is more than 700 metres wide, but it is narrow and surrounded by majestic black cliffs carved out of slate.
Looking south, narrow, dark rocks emerge from the sea. Pedra da Agulha itself has become the icon of the Costa Vicentina. Diving conditions exist at the northern end of the beach, near the fishing port, which is also a popular beach for surfing and windsurfing.

Ponta de São Lourenço
The road is bumpy and in good condition and it is possible to see the cliffs at the eastern end of Madeira Island. The trail runs alongside the Ponta de São Lourenço. The peninsula is of mainly basaltic volcanic origin, with limestone deposits. Then there are two small islands, the islets of Cevada, da Metade or Desembarcadouros, the islets of Ponta de São Lourenço.
